History
Bainswest, Inc. was founded in 1993 by Tim Driskill (Joe West Company), Bruce Schutte and Jim Beavers (The Arrow Group) as a way to lend leverage to their local agencies. Six months later, Thad Leonard (Carl M Leonard & Son) joined the firm. In the late 1990's and early 2000's, the remainder of our members became affiliated with Bainswest.

Our goal has always been to maintain our local identities while gaining the buying power to get our clients the same market access, product quality, and pricing capabilities as large, major brokers. We have succeeded at this goal year-after-year and have watched Bainswest grow exponentially. Through all this, we have never lost sight of our overriding philosophy: "What's right for our client always comes first."

Our principals and their producers and staff members are all insurance professionals with many years of commitment to their clients, communities, and the industry. Six of our principals have served as state presidents of the Independent Insurance Agents of Arkansas or Oklahoma.
